Calcined forsterite sand

Monticellite:

The raw ore contains high amounts of CaO and Ai2O3, and has characteristics such as easy water absorption and spontaneous pulverization, so it is not suitable for use as refractory materials. After water washing treatment, it can be used as steel casting sand with poor reusability, or as an additive for blast furnace ironmaking.

Magnesia-rich olivine:

The raw ore has a high content of the M2S mineral component, high hardness, and extremely low content of harmful impurities that affect refractoriness; therefore, it is an excellent molding sand material for alloy steel and a good refractory material. It can also be used as an additive for blast furnace ironmaking.

It can be used after crushing and processing.

If used for casting, calcined olivine should be used. The raw material contains free SIO2, producing a large amount of smoke during pouring.
